Dear Professor Sherwood.
When started taking this class, I was a horrible writer. Now that your class is over, I looked back of my writing skills. They still are not on par with what they should be. However they have improved. This is probably reflected in my blog. In the beginning my entries where nothing special. At the end they were still nothing that special. I have however noticed an improvement in my writing, all in thanks to your classes. On the first day I did take notice of your fascination about technology, more specifically the internet. Which showed in the amount of articles that we read, that had involved some sort of technology that has only been around for less then twenty years. I originally had decided to do my topic on internet poker. Even though I managed to produce a written research topic, I was however unable to follow through on my topic well enough to write the necessary length. However some later on in the class I had decided to change my topic to internet dating. This topic I found interesting, and managed to produce another written research topic. My blog overall how is not very organized, just like my entries aren’t very well organized. However I feel that with some more work I will be able to strengthen my writing.

Sincerely

Matthew Gutshall

p.s. Your class stressed me out more then army basic training. (I turned to alcohol, sober for four days and counting….lol J/k)

7) Dating, it’s something that we’ve all done, some more successfully then others. Bottem line is we’ve all done it, and we all have horror stories, sweet stories, and funny stories about it. However you want to look at it dating is one of our oldest cultural norms, and it hasnt really changed much in the past 2000 plus years. Untill recently with the introduction of the internet has dating changed. The internet now provides web sites where people who are looking for a special someone can meet without really meeting. However this knew idea comes with many draw backs. ex. How do you know what the person looks like? Is this person really a man, if they say they’re a man, or a woman if they say they’re a woman? Are they crazy? These are just some of the questions that I will try to address in this paper.

I agree with this article on many levels. Its true that technologly has changed our would. It was also changed our morals, standard for living, and what expect to have accomplish in our life.
With access to the internet net now, it eaiser then ever to keep in contact with friends, loved ones, and that crazy uncle that none really wants to come over to Christmas dinner.
However with new things we see on the internet we start to develop new opinions on some things. U Tube for example, will let 50,000 people see your video in a second. So as a result people start to think that they are famous becasue they know that blank amount of people looked at there video so far. As a result these people start to develop an ego, and none likes people with and ego.
Overall the new wave of technology has given us a ways to keep in touch wirth people, and make us feel special if not famous
